The Church of Life After Shopping

A few summers ago, Pat and I came across some videos starring the animated “Reverand Billy“, a New York activist that gives satirical and effective “sermons” which educates on-lookers about unsustainable and harmful consumer practices.

When we were walking through Center Camp at Burning Man in 2010, there was Billy Talen! Giving his Reverand old-style preachin’ sermon on a dusty stage to the dusty folks on the pews of dusty couches. We parked and listened to this guys message for less than an hour. We sang along with the choir, and even shed a tear or two. He’s got a great message!
