    Psychedelic experience

    Exactly.

I am definitely interested in doing personal development work with individuals who feel like they can benefit from a safe and healthy psychedelic experience. I want to grow the plants, harvest the medicine, and give it to people in need of healing.

I can’t get enough Terence McKenna.

Sad news, followers. CHLY’s podcast provider has gone out of business. This means the thousands of CHLY podcasts will soon be unavailable.  Any links to past Sweet and Sour Variety Hour audio is probably already taken offline.

Oh well. Apparently management is working to replace this service to CHLY listeners and programmers.

Even though I’m not able to post whole episodes anymore, I’ll be sure to try my best to provide links to the music I’ve played, as well as any original content I’ve created.  Like this conversation with Steph Mills about the status of her garden:

Here are some links to music I played this morning:

  • Those who don’t vote, are still actually voting

Those who don’t vote, are still actually voting

I saw a great quote from a guy David Foster Wallace about how our governing has been.
He said “If you are bored or disgusted by politics (like Russell Brand described as reflexive impotence) and you don’t bother to vote, you are in effect voting for the entrenched establishments of the major parties” (of which there is no difference whatsoever)

He said “Rest assured they are not dumb. They are aware it is in their interests to keep you disgusted and bored and cynical. By all means stay home on voting day if you want, but don’t bullshit yourself that you’re not voting.” He’s talking about the effect mainstream media has on the masses.

In reality there is no such thing as not voting: you either vote by going and doing it, or you vote by not going. If you don’t vote, the establishment wins. The establishment that is the root and cause of basically all suffering and harm. That’s right. I’m talking about the corporate rulers. The entire machine that maintains our destructive consumerist ways, and inhibits the progress of natural wild harmony.

There is only one organization I trust to begin undoing all of the damage done.

    The GLOBAL GREENS

….and guess what?! EVERYONE’S GONNA VOTE FOR THEM. Kind of like that time in grade 9, at my high school, a rumour went around that at exactly 3:33, every student was gonna drop his/her pen on the floor. All morning and lunch, this went around by word of mouth. Sure enough, the time came and a thousand pens and pencils hit the floor.
The resulting sound of a thousand pencils being dropped, and the consequential bewildered look on the teachers faces was worth the cross-clique co-operation. THIS WILL BE JUST LIKE THAT! Only the results will improve life for everyone on the planet, just like Bucky said we could.

If we want major change, we all must vote green and nothing else. If we do that, and do our part to pass along the rumour, we can effectively take the money out of politics, and save the lands for our great granddaughters.

These are my views about “Strategic voting”:

The idea is to vote for whoever is higher in “the polls” come election time. The tactic here is that by voting for the lesser of evils, we can be rid of Steven Harper’s Government. It was the tactic 4 years ago, right? Well, it didn’t work. Cannot do same and expect different. That’s the definition of insanity. I refuse to act out of fear, and participate in any further insanity here. Enough time has gone by. Let’s have a look at the lynchpin of this conversation in the first place: polls.

Can we just think about what those are for a second? Some graphics on the tv screen? A facebook poll of a fraction of voting population? Colour saturation of plastic bag signs? Your conversations with others?

The variables for botched conduction *and botched interpretation of poll results* are too many for me to trust. And besides, “polls” have just as much influence as an actual vote does…the strategic voter admits. That tells me something about what game we’re all playing here, a rigged one. The playing board is rigged media. Media that has been proven to be almost always slanted fantastical musings of rich white men.

I hope you aren’t missing our Green point: it’s OK to vote according to your actual values this year! No need to compromise your trust by voting for a party of lesser evil. If you feel fed up with this mad paradigm and want lasting real change, the good news is you can actually vote for the *ONLY* one that is really saying “ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP.” The word is out, and the rumour is…… we’re all gonna do it. All at the same time and place…… by voting for the green party candidate in each of our ridings polling stations later this year.

As a photographer, it seems I’ve developed somewhat of a fixation on a certain little subject. This may be the reason I haven’t been taking many pictures. Here are the pics from the last couple months.
