It was a big week for your little friendo, Ashta. I spent the first half of it sheltering in the gentle sweeping piano of the Ethiopian composer and famous nun, Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou (re: first track). The second half of the week was committed to making a radio show for you that took a rather holy vow of silence. There are simply no words. Literally, it’s all instrumentals. I did it for you, because I love you. I also fancy myself in service to every living specimen of biology that inhabits the area which this radio signal transmits to. Whether they know it or not, they are being subject to an invisible frequency containing the tragic melodies and joyful beats of these songs. All of this packaged in the vehicle of my strange mission, in the form of a file located on the internet:
This week on The Sweet and Sour Variety Hour, a lyric-less hour of nonstop instrumentals. As usual, the vibe starts off gentle and moves into a more awake and lively tempo.
